I lost my job today, joining the 7.6% of Americans that are unemployed. So, now that I have all this free time on my hands, I might as well podcast about it. It’s the longest President’s Day weekend ever!

Wowza bro! Sorry to hear the bad news! At least, as you said, you did make it beyond the holidays. Well, unless President's Day counts, then again, technically, you did last an hour after President's Day, so...

All I can say is enjoy it. I've been without employ since October of last year. It's both good and bad and, needless to say, Matt might have a new roommate if that doesn't change soon :)

Shawn, I think you and I should both move in with Matt and start a variety of harebrained companies from his garage. (Does he have a garage? If not, then his basement, if he has one.) You know, mail-order puppy service, gas-powered back-scratcher company, meth lab, etc.

Also, your avatar just made me realize something, something I've been ashamed to admit for a long, long time.

I've never seen The Venture Brothers before.

I also realized that now I will have more than enough time to get completely caught up. Hooray for the silver lining! Now who wants to bring me food? :)

I TOTALLY think we should do that. He doesn't have a basement or garage, but he does have a sweet shed out back that we can conduct crazy, dangerous experiments in like plutonium powered self-heating Pop-Tarts and liquid nitrogen cooled ice cube trays. We just can't let the dog get into the plutonium and/or nitrogen. We don't want a breed of mutant, Ice Man-like dogs running around Columbia.

As for the Venture Bros, all I can say is WATCH IT! It's a great show!! Well worth it! Matt has my Season 2 DVDs and, I think, he also has Season 1. An advantage of moving in with him :)

Hey, I don't have a garage or basement (no one in Columbia does) and the shed is for my crazy schemes! Right now, it's full of rocks, a French door, several bags of salt, some wood and many yards of PVC pipe, as well as a growing horde of angry spiders that like to believe that they own the place.

We've already prepared our guest room for the eventual arrival of Shawn's stinking carcass. We could always make room for more!

Now on to me: I had a dream last night that a gimpy basset hound broke into my backyard and was asking me (with his mind) for hotdogs. And then a kid drove a car onto my lawn and started throwing snowballs at my house. When I yelled at him, he came back later and threw a froze turkey through one of the downstairs windows, then climbed inside and started trashing the place. I came home and beat the crap out of him (he was only 9 or 10 years old) and then stuffed him into a cardboard box and duct-taped it closed. Then I began wrapping it while I awaited the arrival of the authorities.

What does it all mean?
